Byrd is headed to New Orleans for a visit. Joseph signs with Vikes.

I think what I'm hoping for now is Willie Young and Melton to be re-signed. Or Tillman. Or some sort of starting CB, like Tarrell Brown.

@AdamHoge New #Bears LB Jordan Senn was the Panthers special teams captain.

Ahh, the end of the Blake Costanzo era.

Apparently Brad Biggs pointed out on the radio this morning that since 1999, the Bears have drafted two players that have gotten double digit sacks in a season. Roosevelt Colvin did twice, and Mark Anderson did it once during his rookie season, then never again.

That is horrible. Yeah I'm tired of the Bears drafting being so bad. I think this is a year that will make or break Emery, he's had some meh drafts so far.

I'm not saying there havent been some bad misses that make you scratch your head (McClellen, Hardin), but at the very least he's been able to draft 2 Pro Bowlers in 2 drafts (Jeffery, Long), one of them possibly developing into a top 5 player at his position.

The Pro Bowl is pretty meaningless these days, since so many players decide to rest/rehab instead of play. I love Long and Jeffrey but they were alternates.

He might have been an alternate but Alshon absolutely belonged there.

Never mind, back to 14.9 guaranteed on Houston. Still, with a mill base this year, his cap number is under 3, correct?

Man, Ward's deal averages $5.5 million/year. Whitner got $7 million/year.

Mundy was 57th ranked S according to PFF. Sounds awful until you see Conte was 167th and Wright 171st.(last)

Another report I saw said 37th. Did you pull that directly from PFF?

Nah, it was a retweet from my timeline.

Bears looking at Domenic Hixon.

After cutting Peppers and accounting for Houston, DJ, and Senn(no numbers yet for Mundy) we're 13 mill under the cap.

Alterraun Verner to Tampa can only improve our chances of keeping Tillman.

Love the Houston deal; meh on Mundy. If we are really in on Tuck, then it seems to me we are going to pick Dix, Gilbert or Dennard and go DT in the 2nd. I like it - 1st Rnd is for playmakers.

Just found out Lovie was pushing for Verner on draft day a few years ago. Would have loved to see him on the Bears the past few seasons.
