I didn't listen to much of it. I turned on 670 long enough to hear the obligatory caller with the typical "WE'LL NEVER WITH JAY CUTLER!!!11" rant. Then I turned on some music.

Flacco threw 5 picks today. He won a Superbowl. Guys like Cutler, Flacco, Romo, Stafford, and probably even Eli and Big Ben (at the top of the group) are just guys who are prone to have games like this. None of them will ever be in the Peyton, Brees, Brady conversation. None of them may even be Ryan, Luck, whoever, but all can/have won Superbowls. All of them are good QBs who can get hot. For Jay, he just has to make sure the first 3 games are the norm. He's had these games before, but they've been added to a great game and maybe a couple mediocre games. If he has 3 games with ratings in the 90s and then throws up a stinker like this. Sure it'll suck every 4th week, but that'll be good enough to put the team in position to consistently win games.

99% of the team sucked today. It was a poor team effort. It happens. Cutler isn't the reason they lost the game, it was almost everyone on both sides of the ball.

That, and they had terrible luck. Stafford fumbles to himself on the goal line? F that.

Of the three picks, one was a good play by the safety, one underthrow b/c he rushed it, and one overthrow because he tried to throw it through Alshon. It happens.

The fumble was bad too. He has to have a better internal clock, even with an improved o-line.

Yeah, forgot about that. He was definitely pressing as soon as he threw the first pick. Then he started holding the ball too long.

yeah cutler was not good in the pocket today. he could've done a lot more scrambling/moving the pocket and he stood there like a statue most of the day. gotta get better.

Sometimes when Cutler faces a lot of pressure or makes a lot of mistakes early on, he kind of goes into a shell it seems where he holds onto the ball too long looking for a wide open receiver or only throws very conservative passes. He did that after the 2nd INT today for a bit but seemed to break out of it with that long throw to Jeffery just before halftime. Frustrating that he does that though.

Everyone played poorly. But the Bears have a shot to win if Cutler is mediocre at worst. The bend don't break worked on D when Detroit didn't get the ball in our territory 3 times in 1:30.

Yeah, Stafford was held under 300 yards. CJ had just 4 catches for 44 yards. Bears had more total yards on offense than the Lions.

If I knew that would be the case coming in, I would have said the Bears win.

But that 2nd quarter. Catastrophe. 27 points given up in a single quarter. Unthinkable.

Gave up 21 on a span of 4 offensive plays for the Lions. I think it was 8 plays total including the Bears getting the ball. Cutler 1st play INT after 1st TD. 3-and-out after 2nd TD.
