I have no idea why he's not in the game right now. 79 pitches through 7 innings seems like a guy who's pretty well prepared to start the 8th considering he's averaged less than 12 pitches per inning. Dale is so dumb when it comes to pitching changes.

Cubs have thrown 91 pitches, given up 2 runs on 4 hits and one walk.. and they're on their third pitcher. wtf

 

So thanks for that masterful managing job. Pull the starter after 79 pitches. Pull the lefty reliever after two batters/outs. Find a guy who will give up some hits on the third try.

 

And then have Donnie "Your Best Hitter" Murphy bunt into a foul popup in the 9th

good question...but having that be a serious question tells you all you need to know about our offense.

 

Also do we think Russin can do this for a full season? He was very good in the spring, and has really thrown well? He's not an ace but can fill out the rotation?
