His career-high OPS shot up 100 points in 2011 after having already played six full big-league seasons. I'm thinking that's pretty unheard of.

Yeah, it's not like Derrek Lee's shot up 200+ points for his age 29 season. ONLY THE CARDINALS.

I love the people that act like a team that never wins shouldn't ever bitch about the lucky breaks their rival that always wins catches because the team that never wins gets like a third of those same breaks.

I hate that the Cardinals have Molina, but I don't need to wrap it around some kind of dumbass notion that he and they just lucked into some kind of freakish situation to bolster more of that "pixie dust" crap some people just eat the [expletive] up around here.

As has been stated many, many times: the Cardinals have been a much better run organization. Teams like that tend to run into favorable situations more often than those that have run horribly like the Cubs because they tend to have better players, better coaches, better development systems and better front offices. It ain't [expletive] rocket science, kid.

Runs given up in the half inning immediately after scoring runs. It's a Cubs tradition.

Solution: don't score any more runs until the bottom of the 9th.

And if this was a completely unrelated thread I'd be with you. But we're playing the bastards, and he has 3 hits.

Believe me, I avoid watching them otherwise specifically so I don't see [expletive] that will make me angry.

The Cubs bull pen: Dashing playoff hopes by May.

Strop should've been in for more than one batter, Guerrier's been good, and Russell's been really good against everyone except Matt Carpenter. For the most part, I'd still take this pen most days. Just pop one, Sori.

That's the first I've heard of Parker adding a splitter. I don't watch a ton of games, have Len and JD mentioned it?

And Parker just threw back to back pitches for balls in the same spot that rung up Soriano.

Navarro, you're the catcher, that's your job to make sure it goes through. There should not be surprises.

Yes they've mentioned it, especially in earlier appearances.

Real jerk move by Wainwright to take his strike zone with him when he left the game.
