I just noticed all the empty seats when the camera panned for the Sweeney home run. What is going on? It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the Cubs are actually playing pretty good baseball. Why are people not going to these games?

 

Most Cubs fans still think this team is hopelessly awful and doomed to lose 100 games again.

 

i have today's tickets sitting in the arm rest of my car...but i couldn't get anybody to go... half my friends are golfing and the others are at arlington

I could have... much harder to muster up the motivation to, though. Plus I slept a solid 11 hours and woke up at like 12:30 today. Much needed.

Barney's had some pretty bad luck this year.

His line drive percentage the last two years was pretty good: 23.2% and 22.2%. He's at 12.6% on the year coming into today.

 

He's deserved a lot of the bad luck so far.

Tough trip coming up, need to the confidence of 3 straight series wins going into it.

Maybe Wood is just really good out of the stretch or something...like Hellickson.

 

Maybe he gave up a 390 foot fly ball with two runners on and it happened to be hit to dead center.
