I do think Vitters is going to be traded but I still hold out hold out hope that he can become a starter caliber player for the 2014 Cubs.

I just don't think he'll ever be passable at 3B and his bat won't be great enough to make up for being bad there.

Agreed. I suspect he gets dealt as part of a deadline deal and settles in at 1B or LF for another organization.

If Soriano is gone and Valbuena is back next year, I think Vitters could carve out a role as a bench/platoon bat. Kinda like they did with Mather last year, except with less OF defense and more 3B PAs.

I think he has to earn his way on the MLB roster and hit a little this year though. 100 PAs last year don't end his career, but he needs to show they were a fluke at the MLB level in 2013 if he's to be of any importance to the 2014 team.

Wow, aside from Vitters and Watkins, Iowa is one sad, irrelavant collection of anti-prospects.

Take Jackson and Lake off the DL and it looks better.

Very true. Loux and Vizcaino too.

Does anyone have any information on when we could expect Vizcaino pitch?

Soler: Hooray!

Baez 0-for-4 with 3 Ks, putting over 30% again I think :banghead:

Is there any site that would show if Baez is struggling vs. just one type of pitch or location? Or if he's just kind of hacking away at all pitches in various locations? I know Fangraphs does it for MLB but don't know/think they do it for MILB.

No, there's no Pitch f/x for the FSL. Some other leagues do Gameday with pitch locations(I think all the AA and AAA leagues), but I'm not sure if that's anything except some intern's best guess.

Ok, thanks. It would be nice to know if he is struggling vs some specific pitch and/or location. Too bad none of our writers are worth a damn to ask meaningful questions about minor leaguers and instead just care to report when the brown guys are being lazy.
