When did Frolik have a big Penalty Shot make in the playoffs? Maybe it was against Vancouver...maybe Game 6?

 

Edit: Yup, it was Game 6 against Detroit, Hawks down by a goal in the 3rd, Frolik made the penalty shot at the Hawks won in OT to send it to game 7.

For the hockey novice, can anyone explain what justifies a penalty shot call? I have seen many similar plays result in regular minor penalties.

 

I'm going to guess that it's the same as an automatic red card in soccer. Denial of a clear goal-scoring opportunity by the last man back.
