I know I was there the day before, but I cannot remember what I did for this game.

The game before was the HSC collision, right?

Cubs 1st ever win over the Yankees. On the main feed of FOX so it was basically the fantasy WS matchup every Cubs fan had been dreaming of. Wrigley was rocking.

The Karros HR was insane. Can't think of a lot of better regular season moments.

There were a few moments in that 5 gamer with St. Louis in September 03...especially the one we came back from like 6 or 7 runs down.

I need to remind myself to stay away from this thread for a while. It is too damn depressing for me.

same game, i think, Remlinger strikes out Jason Giambi with the bases loaded and a full count. Put the ball right on the inside corner and got him swinging.

That game, and specifically that exact moment are about as good as it gets for me in the last 15 years.

With a huge glove pound to follow, I believe.

I always liked Remlinger.

What was Remlinger's ridiculous injury? Not "tripped over my dog" ridiculous, but didn't something bizarre happen to him? May be thinking of someone else

Something about a folding chair in the clubhouse. Cut his finger or foot or something.

I was thinking it was kicking an electric fan, but that was Farnsworth.

I don't think I've ever eaten pizza at Wrigley, but kicking the vastly, vastly overrated D'Agostino's to the curb is fine by me.

F Yeah. I don't care what anybody else says, I have to get Giordano's every time I return. Love the stuff, and have brought it back east dozens of times.

It's definitely the one I prefer of the main chains here, though Pequod's is my personal favorite for deep dish.

I still haven't tried Pequods, which is basically unforgivable since the two places I have lived in my life are Skokie and Lincoln Park.
