i can recall several instances of MLB hitters angrily walking to the mound wielding their bat after a HBP and getting minimal if any penalty for it afterward

 

I'm not saying they would but they could arrest him for assault.

While I certainly do not condone the behavior, sometimes we forget that these guys are basically college kids when it comes to age and maturity levels. 20 somethings have gotten in far bigger altercations with far less cause. Granted they're millinaire athletes, but being rich has never been something that lowers one's douchiness level. The bottom line is that I'm not going to vilify a 20 year old for a moment of stupidity. He's a long way from Milton Bradley and Elijah Dukes.
