i hate playing the blues and i had a feeling this was going to be the game that ended the streak, but it's good to be wrong. just goes to show you can out-physical this team all you want, you can't take them off their game

Q said that the crawford injury is different from the previous one. so hopefully the previous one was a head injury.

I know it looks like he stumbled out of goal at the end of the period last night, but I saw somewhere else suggest that it was actually his arm. Watching it again, it could just be that he was dangling a hurt arm rather than stumbling.

The loss of balance as he was leaving the ice and headed back to the locker room looked a lot more like dizzy/foggy/concussion than anything else to me. FSN Midwest showed that on their broadcast down here. Just looked weird.

Yeah that's the way it looked to me. Best case, maybe he just had a sudden onset of a fever or something and was disoriented at that moment.

Ah, didn't see that.

That game was not as close as the score would indicate. Even when it was 1-0 for two periods it never felt like the Blues had a chance.

If Bollig was in the lineup to fight somebody, why wasn't he trying to fight Backes? Is there anything more pointless than our goon fighting their goon the first chance they get?

I hate Carcillo on the first line.

Frolik centering the 4th line between Bollig and Saad was an idea worth forgetting.

Shaw is not the playmaker the Hawks need on the 2nd line. He's been very good where he is and has great chemistry with Bickell and Stahlberg.

I understand the NHL's belicheckian policy regarding injuries when it comes to skaters but goalies don't usually get hit. Why can't they just say that Crawford has a concussion, separated shoulder or severed head?

Anyone else struck by the irony of Foley making fun of Harry Caray being drunk during telecasts?

Just wanted to normalize the standings a bit since some teams like Boston have 17 games played and some teams like Toronto have 22 games played.

TEAM - Points per game (points projected to 20 games played)

Chicago - 1.85 (37)

Boston - 1.64 (33)

Anaheim - 1.61 (32)

Montreal - 1.45 (29)

Ottawa - 1.29 (26)

Vancouver - 1.26 (25)

Pittsburgh - 1.24 (25)

Los Angeles - 1.22 (24)

New Jersey - 1.20 (24)

Toronto - 1.18 (24)

St. Louis - 1.16 (23)

Minnesota - 1.16 (23)

San Jose - 1.16 (23)

Carolina - 1.11 (22)

Detroit - 1.10 (22)

Nashville - 1.10 (22)

Winnipeg - 1.05 (21)

BTW the best post-lockout team was the 05-06 Red Wings with 124 points in 82 games, 1.51 PPG, and would have 30 points in 20 games. There are 3 teams playing above that pace right now and another right behind it.

Shaw is a killer

i love shaw. he's taken bolland's place as the skilled guy that other teams hate and goes full speed on everything.

Exactly. He's not as offensively skilled as Versteeg was, but brings more energy and physicality.

I hold out hope that Bolland will, assuming he's healthy, get back to being The Rat when the playoffs roll around.

Eddie O just said on NHL Radio that Crawford skated today but they won't get an update until Q speaks before the game.

Can't be another concussion if he's skating already.

Lest we doubt, Steve Mason really [expletive] sucks.

i don't have any data to back this up, but it seems like he always plays way over his head against us
