if there is a game tonight, i was thinking it might be cancelled if this storm is bad enough

 

4-6"? The storm doesn't look like it should be that bad for Chicago standards.

i've been operating on the warning, which states 4-8, up to 10. if it stays on the low end, you're right, not too bad. but if it starts getting up there, rescheduling for the safety of the driving spectators might be prudent. i would think it would have to be pretty bad for that to happen though, condensed schedule and such

 

The high end was based on accumulation starting yesterday, though now that I'm perusing the NWS Chicago web site, it still looks like 6-10" is possible in most areas. In summary, don't mind me.

Kruger goes back to the 4th line where he'll need Carcillo to protect him, thus making it necessary to move Saad back to the first line.

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday. Rozsival played a great game. He had one mishap in the defensive zone that led to a turnover, but he's actually got pretty good hands and made some nice plays in the offensive zone.

 

yeah, he's been solid. his problem is he plays on such a fast, skilled team that he goes unnoticed, except when you notice that he's slower than a lot of the team

 

Pretty much. He showed some smooth hands yesterday it just surprised me. But I heard an opposing announcer refer to him as an offensive defenseman the other day and it surprised me. Figured it was because he's not all that great of a defensive defenseman.

 

as a follow-up, the by the numbers espn article today yesterday points out that roszival leads the team in corsi (small sample size alert) and is 4th in the league for those with 10 or more games (selective sampling alert)

i think it's kind of interesting that an espn article is referencing a statistic it does not track. i'm sure it's probably common with some of the baseball writers, but i guess i never really thought about it until now
