Game 12 - Seattle Seahawks @ BEARS - 12 PM - Louis on IR :(

I agreed with the decision to go for it on 4th early in the game instead of kicking the FG.

I did not. Prior to the 3rd down play I said I'd be happy if they didn't turn it over. The FG was conservative but the way this team is playing they needed to take the points. It was the wrong call and it contributed to the loss. You have a horrible line and a RG who never played RG before. Wrong move.

As good as our D is, we just can't seem to stop the young mobile QB's that like to run outside.

They pointed out on Mike and Mike today that 3 of our losses have come to Aaron Rodgers, Colin Kapernick and Russell Wilson, all who can scramble and make plays with their feet. I guess less so Rodgers, but the other 2 definitely gave us fits running the ball.

Doug and OB were talking about how the Seattle O-lineman were inviting the Bears rushers to go inside on them, and the Bears obliged even though the QB was burning them with his feet, allowing Wilson to get outside so easily on several plays. It's annoying how certain mistakes this year have been allowed to happen repeatedly without adjustments.

That was something else Doug and OB pointed out. That first of all, the play was designed to have a lead blocker come and lead the way, which takes time to set up, and if your line doesn't win the initial push it can get blown up rather easily. They also mentioned how the play was inexplicably designed to go between Carimi and Scott. Carimi had played 3 quarters at guard this year and Scott was playing his 2nd game this year and is below average in general. A little head scratching to say the least.

The frustrating thing about that is that we used to be really good against those kinds of QB's. I think those kinds of QB's is when we really miss the old Brian Urlacher.

Yeah, those QBs never scared me when Urlacher was still alive. For some reason they were using Shea and Urlacher as inside 3-4 LBers yesterday and they were both equally worthless in stopping anything.

Absolutely.

Shea had one really good stop playing spy, which several of us mentioned when it happened, but it never seemed to work out quite as well the rest of the game.

That's because after that play, he broke containment EVERY time. As UMF said, the DL pressure kept getting in and that allowed Wilson to step out and move.

Shea had one bad play that stood out to me when Wilson went for the run and he was very late in breaking to him to attempt a tackle.

We were getting beaten over and over again by Wilson's legs and the Bears did nothing to stop it.

Yes, but I think it's interesting that Wilson hasn't had a bad game since game 7, hasn't thrown an INT since game 8, and every game since #9 has posted an above-100 rating.

I think Pete Carroll really has found his QB. The kid has been very good and it hasn't just been a game or two here & there. It's true he hasn't been posting a ton of yards but he has a shot at 3,000, his completion percentage is over 60%, he's quick as hell, and the TD/INT ratio is just fine.

I'm angry about those last two drives, but it was against a pretty good player, as it turns out. We still need to get a stop regardless. A lot of defenses will struggle to stop Russell Wilson if he keeps playing like he has, that's for sure.

I'm feeling a lot better today if he beat us with throws and passes more so then those scrambles on the final two drives. I'm willing to bet if we played him tighter and stayed committed to the lanes and gaps to stop him, he would have taken more hits resulting in a better outcome. We gave him the yardage way too easily.
