The Bears have started the game on defense in 9 consecutive games and overall in 10 out of their 12 games.

 

They have won the coin toss 7 times and deferred all 7 times

They have lost the coin toss 5 times and the opponents have deferred only twice (STL, IND)

It's a stupid call....yes the Bears offense is rolling, but the running game isnt. Plus the Bears red zone offense isnt that great, so there's no guarantee that you get the TD even if you convert. To me, getting the double digit lead and putting the pressure on Seattle is much more valuable to me. Plus, I'm not running the ball straight up the gut when we've done that several times in the game and gotten nothing out of it.
