Neither is likely a franchise QB going forward, so even if Geno's better (I'd say he is) it's rather meaningless.

I just figure if I'm taking a QB in the first round and staking my job on him, I better be certain he's a stud. None of these QBs are.

But Ford is a stud and will be a stud.

I think Manuel could eventually be okay, but they couldn't get him in round 2 (at the earliest )or 3/4? Or trade back in the first again? Waste of resources

 

Exactly. I like Manuel as a developmental guy, but you don't take a project QB in round 1.

Nobody is letting the chips fall in this draft. Everyone is going to get their guy. Miami traded up for Jordan, could have waited a little bit ended up with Mingo/Ansah and given up less (though they didn't give up a ton either way). Buffalo could have continued to move to get their QB. Obviously they liked Manuel most, but they also liked Barkley and Nassib, could have waited for one to go off the board.
