If it was a movie about football, they'd have to use computers to get that shot.

I didn't know Bush was capable of that.

It's amazing the difference between the first and second half today. 2 completely different Bear teams showed up today.

I'll take the credit. Turned the game on at half time.

Odd to see but Henry Melton didn't make the stat sheet at all today, at least according to ESPN's box score. No sacks, no TOs, no tackles, etc

He shouldve had half a sack imo. Him and Wooten both got there at once.

I changed into my Urlacher jersey at half. I think that had a bigger impact.

Wonder if the Bears and Jags will finish with a higher score than the Ravens (9) - Chiefs (6) game.

This cracked me up -- I'm reading the thread after the game and I was thinking the same thing until the Bears blew up in the second half. That first half was pretty awful.

Wow, I did not realize that the sbnation Packers blog guys were delusional. A smattering of comments from the authors there after the Packers loss...

LOL

Chicago is only average, and Minnesota is going to come back to earth at some point.

Take a deep breath, and step away from the computer.

Love the meltdown here

Guys, the NFC North isn’t very good. We can go 9-7 and win the division. Yes, we look like crap right now, but this is nowhere near season over.

People keep mentioning how the Bears defense looks awesome....

Were you around for Week 2 at all?

Packers 23, Bears 10

Or does that not register?

They weren't good against the Cowboys

Tony Romo and Dez Bryant just melted down. The Bears didn’t make Bryant quit on routes or drop balls.

Anyway, I won't post all the comments, but wow...

Cousin Sal said something about the disappointment of losing to an average at best Bears team last week (and thought the Jags was an easy bet to win). I understand having doubts about the Bears. The offense is just so sloppy at times and the most high profile defensive player looks like he's done. But this team has 9 wins as a low end and is quite easily capable of having a bye week to start the playoffs. They are well above average.

A lot of those comments just look like fan frustration, not unlike what you would see on a Bears board after a bad loss.

Fan frustration is usually about being down about your team. Not bashing division rivals. It's not like they were being trolled or instigated.

Anyway, it ultimately doesn't matter. Just caught my attention.

A Chicago Bears WR leads the NFC in receiving yards, I repeat, a Chicago Bears WR leads the NFC in receiving yards....

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/receivingYards/league/nfc

This is starting to get fun....

Second in yards per game behind Megatron.

I didn't realize that Reggie Wayne has over 500 yards receiving in four games.

Didn't he just have like 250 yesterday?

212, yeah, just seems crazy he's on pace for 2000 receiving yards.

The only negative vibe I see with this team right now, is that Urlacher is basically done. They have to draft his replacement this offseason.

He can get downhill and fill gaps ok, but yeah, his lateral speed is gone. I really hate to admit that. I've been in denial until now.

He caused Brigg's interception with his hit on the back.

Call me a pessimist but I didn't think Allen was considering going out to run off time. Just thought he was being a dick.

“There were so many things going through my head,” Allen said. “I am running down the field and I was looking at the clock and I thought, ‘Am I suppose to stop at the 1?’I thought this is my first (NFL touchdown) so I am just going to take it, they can yell at me later. They didn’t say anything to me.”

Yeah, I don't know how you can call Allen a dick at all, that's ridiculous. We are talking about a 3rd-4th string RB that's consistently been on the NFL roster bubble his entire career. Why should he hold back when he gets playing time?

My first thought was some sort of taunting thing, but then I realized where the clock was and assumed he was contemplating killing it. With a smaller lead, that's smart. With that score you might as well get your own.

Yeah, when a player is right in front of him with no blockers and no room to maneuver, Urlacher can still make the hit. But if you put a blocker there, or worse yet, a teammate, and he's essentially out of the play.

Yeah, I noticed that he was visibly slower too and kept commenting on it during the game. He just couldn't get to the sideline. This has got to be his swan song season.

It will almost certainly be his swan song with the Bears. I wouldn't put it past another team to pick him up thinking that after another offseason of healing his knee will be better, or worst case scenario can provide leadership to a younger defense or something.

And as far as observing his slowness, this was the first game I noticed it throughout the game as opposed to catching it a couple of individual plays a game. It was hard to miss.
