I would love to hear your reasoning on this. I don't think either school 'needs' each other in any way, shape or form.

Michigan losing ND on their schedule isn't that big a deal. They still have OSU, Michigan State, etc. Notre Dame has USC and......Navy? The crappy ACC teams?

I know you haven't seen NDs future schedule bc you haven't paid close attention to ND. And I wouldn't expect you to. Unless of course you're going to make a dumbass uninformed statement.

 

But even setting aside the teams on NDs future schedule, how can anyone look at this year's schedule and think ND needs UM. It sounds incredibly stupid given the names and locations ND is playing.

 

Which isn't to say UM needs ND. But there have been years in which ND was the most interesting OOC game on UM's schedule. They could change that, but they don't have easy access to another quality team that's a short drive (which is a huge benefit for H&H scheduling, obviously).

 

Finally, it's not as if the 2 schools won't play again. But ND had to end the contract this way to get more flexibility. This letter only signals that UM isn't as important as USC, Navy, and Stanford (subject to replacement with another CA school).

I'm just saying that after several attempts by the B1G to court Notre Dame, only to have Notre Dame fake-join the ACC, the B1G should have collectively shown ND the door.

Now Brandon is complaining about getting 3 games notice when the contract says 3 games notice (yeah, I'm confused too) and whining bc everyone thinks that all these teams are lining up to play Michigan. But lots of teams require that you...are you sitting down for this?...play a game at their stadium as well. How's an AD supposed to operate in these conditions?
