Last October, Moore told the Tribune this about Cutler: "The first year, to me personally, he was an (expletive). There's no way to sugarcoat it. Some days, he was good. But some days, he was in his own world.''

So yeah, I guess Moore and Cutler aren't exactly chums. Despite both being Vandy guys.

I think this has gone far enough, and Moore should put down the keyboard, or otherwise shut up. I think everyone now understands: he doesn't like Jay Cutler.

His agent needs to step in. At this point, he's talked himself out of a future job (I believe this is the last year of his contract) and Bears CB don't tend to have great careers after they leave.

Sort of a funny note... I was watching that Cutler SoundFX on NFLN last week, and one of the clips was of him asking DJ Moore, "They let you dress today?" (or something along those lines)

I'd imagine this is how most lockerrooms are. The QB is always put on a pedestal. I personally know a couple NFL players, both defensive players, and neither has ever really talked to his team's QB(s). There's really no reason to if you aren't going to hang out. The O and D have separate meetings, one is always on the field when the other is on the sidelines. Maybe you have WRs and DBs, RBs and LBs, OL and DL who are friends and hang out, but they go against each other every day in practice, face-to-face. A CB and CB really never engage unless it's a CB blitz, and in that case, it's not like they're sitting around talking between plays like WR/CBs can do outside the hashes.

We know from past statements that Urlacher and Cutler don't really talk. And Urlacher wasn't exactly the biggest fan of Jay when he got here either. And if you don't know a guy, the only thing you have to go off of is the perception of him by the media or other teammates. DJ Moore is watching the same crap we are questioning Jay's leadership. He watched it after the NFC Championship game when Jay got hurt. Until he leads the Bears to something of significance, this is pretty much how it's going to be. It's how it was for Eli until he won.

Yeah, I mentioned earlier that Cutler was joking around with Moore in that Sound FX. That was a highly entertaining show.

Not that it's evidence of anything, but they did show a short interaction between them on Sound FX. Just a "way to go, nice job" kind of moment.

I don't think either Cutler or Urlacher needs anything more than that. So it works out.

BTW...The Jay Cutler Show is on ESPN 1000 at noon.

I missed the first 10 min, but Jay is saying good things about his teammates, including Webb so far.

Posted
As for the shoving incident with Webb, Cutler said, "I can't put a definite reason why it happened. It happened. It's an emotional game. I put a lot into playing quarterback and I take it seriously. It's just one of those things that happen during a game. Since then, we've talked about it and it's behind us."

Cutler said he had discussed the matter "with the powers that be and with the offensive line."

"I probably shouldn't have bumped him," Cutler conceded. "I don't regret yelling at him. I shouldn't have bumped him, I'll stick with that."

Jay owns Silvy the whole show.

He does, but he also gets some knocks on Waddle when discussing his WR abilities...but to be fair, Tom is just as eager to make fun of himself as well. Silvy is just an easy target.

Well, ESPN radio didn't spare the opportunity to take one of Jay's comments from the show today, snip it from the rest, and then spend about 30 minutes bringing in every one of their "analysts" to talk about how horrible he is.

Love these bozos. They really know how to pile on, that's for sure.

gotta love how absolutely pathetic the offensive line is, how the management and coaching staff has literally done nothing to address the matter, and the focus is on if Jay Cutler is too mean to a 6'7" 350 lb. [expletive] who can't do his job.

Yeah I know, Mike and Mike were going off on him a few minutes ago. They were saying 'I dont care who you are, part of this job is to deal with the media, and you have to do it'. Yes no [expletive], maybe he should start a weekly radio show where he can discuss whats going on with him and the team and address any criticisms from the media/fans. Oh wait that's exactly what he did. So he goes on this show, gets grilled with somewhat tough questions, over and over, keeps his poise and answers them all, only to have 10 second snippets pulled out and overanalyzed mostly out of context the next morning.

Exactly. And the biggest issue is that Cutler even had the chance to get mad that Webb couldn't block Matthews 1-on-1. WE all knew he couldn't going into the game, yet the coaching staff had him do so on nearly every pass play.

The whole situation is so insanely idiotic. It makes me so mad that this is still being discussed. I couldn't believe the questions Waddle and Silvy were asking Jay yesterday. It was almost insulting the way they asked the same question in a million different ways and are almost begging Cutler to say something quote worthy. Cutler should be given the Nobel Peace Prize for not decking Silvy on stage for some of those questions.

Why is this such a big deal? And I don't even think the meatheads Bears fans even care about this. I havent heard one person talk about the Webb/Cutler incident other then on the radio, tv and newspaper. Because its not a freaking big deal. But I have heard someone on one of the national ESPN shows the other day criticizing Chicago fans for being so hard on Cutler. Just because the media has a hardon for something doesnt mean the majority of Bears fans even give two shits.

There was nothing wrong with the questions they asked him.

The only thing I take issue with is the national media taking snippets out of context to push their agenda.

I've read plenty of message boads and comments on articles from people wanting to let Campbell play or let Cutler walk after the season.

Bottom line this is not a Jay Cutler problem. This is an OL problem. He got sacked 7 times. This is a coaching problem. The OC called 80%+ of pass plays with 5+ step drops, with very few max protection schemes.

The bump was probably a little over the top, but it's the same thing as a pat on the butt or the head after a negative play. And it was over after that. It's not like they kept arguing on the sidelines like the famous Peyton Manning vs. his OL video.
