2 games into the season, the Bears are either a championship caliber offense or the worst offense in the NFL. At least we got the Rams next.

Probably middle of the pack. Can't do better than that with this line. Detroit and Houston will kill Jay.

I think they are above the middle, in the top third. it happens every year with this team, tho, the line shits the bed early and plays just less then decent as the season goes on. Bears management really needs an over hall if they cant get it in their heads: YOU NEED GOOD LINEMAN

And Tice made some adjustments, but they werent dramatic enough to turn the game. not scoring a TD on Marshall's drop was a killer.

In that case, I support a ban.

I'd like to discuss the Bears without blatant trolls.

Talk Bears all you want. TT told me to knock it off and I will. If you'd like to actually discuss the game, go for it.

bears defense played well I thought. held GB to 16 points, essentially.

Allowed 3 points after a bogus 12-men on the field call. Allowed 3 points after a dropped INT. Allowed a 1 play drive after basically a game-clinching INT, a TD that doesn't happen if the game was closer as Cutler wouldn't have forced the ball. Throw in the fake FG and as far as I'm concerned, they gave up 6 points (including the FG after the dropped INT).

Nice to win but I still don't think the Packers are championship quality (need to see them play good defense consistently), plus Rodgers has played three mediocre to crappy games against good defenses. Cutler and the Bears line have had games in the past where they look like crap and then they still compete for the playoffs/win the division. I don't see how it will be different this year.

Yes, I'll wait a couple more weeks before making a judgment. The Packers are a good team - I expected to be kicked in the teeth a little this time around.

Let's see how they respond and move forward from there. No loss of faith here. Actually I think this might be a valuable wake-up call.

Rodgers had a few brain farts tonight (the late INT could go either way, IMO), but he did have quite a few drops from his receivers that would have improved his numbers and the score quite a bit.

Cutler wished Green Bay's secondary "good luck" at utilizing physical tactics against Chicago's receivers, while Brandon Marshall deadpanned, "I do welcome that."

"We've got some dudes that, if you're gonna get up in their face, even our speed guys are gonna get around them, and our big guys are gonna throw and go," Cutler said. "So we invite press coverage. We invite man (coverage). If we get that type of game, our guys outside have to make some plays for us."

Whoops. Cutler haters are going to have a field day with this. Cutler normally doesn't say anything that would make waves in the media, so its really odd that he would come out cocky during Packers week. I don't think anyone expected the offense to be that pathetic, but damn, you'd better back up the talk if you want to make headlines saying those things.

Jay Cutler is 1-7 against the Packers as a Bear (not including the game he didnt play last year).

I don't really watch the Bears unless they're playing the Packers, but is Cutler always this hot or cold? I've either seen him as a world beater or completely awful with very little in-between.

No seriously. I hope your diabetes is fatal, tonight.

The play calling was really predictable. Losing Forte basically ended any quick hitters or safety valve stuff.

That and the fact that Cutler was running for his life all 2nd half.

The Bears didn't throw any quick passes, other than maybe the Jeffery catch early. But you gotta throw some quick screens, slants or something to get Marshall involved (and Clay out of the backfield). Horrible, horrible game plan by Tice. Very Martz-esque.

When he's hot he's very hot and when he's cold he flat out sucks, but he does have quite a few "average" games as well.

And then I hope Wal-Mart fires your corpse.

This is true. The Forte loss was very advantageous for the Packers, although it seemed to occur seamlessly with Bush taking up the slack.

Seriously, I'm angry at Marshall for missing that catch in the end zone. I know it's just one play and I'll get over it. But damn, we needed that, and it would have changed this game.

Brandon needs to catch his STUFF.

Dang, getting this worked up over a football game? Relax, man. Take some deep breaths. Go to your happy place.

He really should have been targeted more. I'm quite interested as to why the Bears chose not to utilize him.
