He pitched a few days ago, I want to say like last Wednesday or Thursday, think he went a few innings out of the pen and did well. He ended up not having TJS as was first reported months ago

I don't know how much longer their season even is, but shouldn't the consider shuffling some of the more relevant prospects around to Tenenessee and Peoria, where they actually play more than once per week?

The guys who should really be considered are Baez, Villanueva, and Torreyes. There's Whitenack, but he's on the DL.

As TT said there isn't much time left so no real advantage doing that. Probably better to let the guys finish out the year where they are and take time off. Most of the guys will play some sort of fall league/instructions or winter league I'd imagine, right?

or maybe take a flyer on Tropicana Field. Tampa doesn't seem to be happy with it and a change of scenery could help.

Wonder if we could trade them Soriano, Brett Wallach, and Field #3 in mesa for it.

Was on the table, but they asked for Reed Johnson as a sweetener.

It's Levine, so I don't know whether it's something he's heard or whether it's his speculation, but he expects both Javy and Soler to be announced on AFL rosters. Soler, I completely understand, Javy? Guess it can't hurt, if true. Do we get 5 or 6 guys, anyone remember?

Each MLB team is only allowed one player below AA so that can't be right.

@daytonacubs: More rain in Daytona Beach -- we're doing everything possible to get these games in! Unfortunately it looks like we'll have a delayed start.

You question Baez? He's only had 300 PA this year and could use the work. He turns 20 this year and has barely played half a season of professional baseball.

If the Cubs moved Soler or Javy to Tennesse for the last week, is that allowed or are they required to be there for a certain length?

I believe the cut off was Aug 15th.
