Are the Dodgers about to come into a bunch of money? I know they have new owners, but is a big TV deal coming or something?

 

That is a TON of money to take on! I just can't even fathom this being realistic.

 

A core of: Kemp, Gonzalez, Ethier, Hanley, Crawford is mind blowing to think about it from where they started the year.

 

Also consider that Shane Victorino and A.J. Ellis will be sprinkled into that lineup, with a rotation of Kershaw-Billingsly-Beckett-Dempster and the last I checked surprisingly good Capuano and Harang rounding I'm guessing that the Giants will need more than Alfonso Soriano and Sean Camp to answer that

This is really crazy. It's funny what a September collapse does to a team.

 

Even though the Cubs are probably going to lose 100 games this year, I bet Theo is glad he got out when he did. That's an even bigger mess than the one he took on in Chicago.

 

It will be interesting to see which team becomes competitive first, though Theo has a 1-year head start.

Honestly, I like this supposed deal for both teams. Boston's saving a ton of money and will likely retool immediately. Dodgers get stacked basically. How long does it take a position player to recover from TJS?
