Well, that sucks.

 

To point out how much of a different perspective makes, when I saw your post, I was expecting to look up and read something about our deal with Kane County falling through. #-o

I go to Chiefs games whenever I'm back home (Bloomington). I'm not going to travel close to Chicago just to see a Cubs minor league team play.

 

And now I get to see a Cubs minor league team play about an hour away. That was my point.

Yeah, but now I have to drive 3 hours (or so) to see ANY type of Cubs team play, while I have 2 Cardinals teams within a stones throw.

Kind of related, but not really news since he says there haven't been discussions on it, but this would probably change the logo.

 

 

The Cougars, located in west suburban Geneva, stand to increase attendance and marketability as a Cubs' farm team. Epstein said there has been no discussion on changing the long-standing nickname from Cougars to Cubs, but that's an option the Cubs can take if they feel the marketing tie-ins are worthwhile.
