I was leaning Rice if I went back because I think he has the least amount of time share. Foster scares me because he has maybe the most capable backup in the league - I'm thinking time share. I've been reading that McCoy will receive less of a workload this year and I think Vick gets hurt again (like usual) so the offense might be bad.

A workload decrease is possible for McCoy, but I can't imagine it'll be that significant. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the Ravens put more on Flacco this season and tried to preserve Rice some, thus decreasing his workload as well.

Really, the questions surrounding all 3 RBs are part of why I prefer Rodgers/Calvin over them. Far fewer questions for both.

Yeah, RBs are so hard to predict and are more likely to get hurt than pretty much anyone. I think I'm set on Rodgers. I'd rather be picking 4-8 so I could take Brees/Brady and get a higher pick coming back down the snake draft.

In the one snake draft I've done so far, I had the 4th pick and was able to get Calvin in the first round and then Stafford in the second (pick 17). I was really happy with that.

I don't think so. I'd probably take Rodgers or Calvin over either. I prefer McCoy to Arian/Rice as well.

Holy crap. You'd love my keeper league team. Rodgers and McCoy are my keepers (3rd year)!

That said, I'd trade either Rodgers or McCoy for Arian or Rice.

Wow, I definitely would love your team. My main reason for having a preference for Rodgers and Calvin is that there are very few to no questions for either - both are definite starters, neither have considerable injury issues, and neither has lingering issues that may come back to bite them. I also like the depth at RB better than at QB or WR and both Rodgers/Calvin are either better (in a redraft) or head and shoulders better (keeper/dynasty) than the rest of the players at their position.

Arian has had fumble issues since his Tennessee days and is a fumble too many or an injury away from losing his job (and/or lots of touches) to Ben Tate. Rice has a lot of mileage on his legs and runs a very punishing style - those types of backs don't generally last real long (though that's less of an issue in a redraft league) and I'm concerned about early decline for him. McCoy could lose some playing time, but he's more of a shifty back than Rice and has more job security than Arian.

The draft I did a few nights ago went McCoy, Rice, Rodgers, C. Johnson, Brees, Foster, Brady, MJD and then I got Stafford at 9.

I thought Megatron at 4 was a reach, especially with Foster still there.

But yes, I would have taken Rodgers at 1.

I just did a mock draft on ESPN, where everyone surprisingly stayed in for 7 rounds. I quit when a few people dropped out, and was looking at this team at the time (3rd pick in 10 team snake):

Aaron Rodgers

Matt Forte

DeMarco Murray

Victor Cruz

Eric Decker

Vernon Davis

Trent Richardson

I'm drafting in my league tomorrow and am back and forth between strategies. But even with the value you can get at QB late, I don't like passing on Rodgers/Brady/Brees. That RB jumble in 2/3 is conflicting because I passed on Matthews, Charles and AP for Forte and Murray. But you have upside no matter what.

Got the #1 pick in my 12-team redraft this week. Debating on Foster vs. Rice. Heavily leaning toward Rice. I think I'm confident enough in my ability to get a good QB and WRs, that I'm not going to take Rodgers or Calvin Johnson. Thoughts?

I don't mind the strategy, as long as your league doesn't go nuts on QB's in the first round you should be able to get one of the second tier QB's like Cutler/Ben/Schaub/Romo/Ryan/Eli/Peyton/Rivers/Vick(he might drop a bit with his injuries) with one of you next two picks (assuming you go back to back on round 2-3 picks) so you could go one of those guys and then BPA available at WR/RB.

That's a good team. A lot of people have Richardson as a top 20 pick although I'm not sold on him. I like Eric Decker more that a lot of people.

I still like Foster better than Rice, although many people disagree. Which is fine. I think Foster catches it almost as good as Rice, is a better rusher with more TD's, and plays on a better offense. I agree you have to go RB with number 1.
