Angel Guzman's voided KC contract in '99

Does anyone have any recollection of what the cause was for his original KC contract being voided? I didn't realize that was the case until seeing that tonight.

If it werent for the whole PED thing, yes.

 

I'd rather take fliers out on every 26-28 year old one time top 100 or close prospect than most of the junk we have in Iowa.

i don't think the iowa cubs' organization would be too thrilled about being a dumping ground for failed late 20-something prospects, unless they're actively looking to lose 100 games every year.

Iowa is for putting our best prospects in holding patterns to save on service time. Shuffling through late-20 something failed prospects while losing 100 games is what Chicago is for.
