Random question for you all: if you could subscribe to either Baseball America or Baseball Prospectus, which would you subscribe to?

For me it's BA, without question. But I love the minors.

I'd pay for ESPN Insider before I'd pay for Prospectus.

I go with BA over BP but have always wondered about ESPN Insider.

Is fangraphs pretty much a free version of what BP used to be?

On the Major League side, yes. Except without the whole black box nonsense when it comes to metrics. Goldstein for all his charm does have stuff worth reading on the minor league side, although between twitter and ESPN Insider you can get most of what he has to say without subscribing to BP.

Jackson's fly outs are becoming more exciting to me than Vitters' singles.

Speaking of balls in play, a Rock Shoulders update: 39 PA, 13 balls in play(5 hits), 10 BB, 15 K. Maybe the oddest .755 OPS I've ever seen.

@peoriachiefs: Not in the lineup today but Javy Baez IS a full participant in BP. Already took grounders at SS, now hitting opposite field shots.

Not good, especially considering his past elbow problems:

@BoiseHawksRadio: Update on RHP Amaury Paulino - doctor in Spokane says strained elbow, will rehab in Mesa for 6-8 weeks
