Even though he's still pretty much a non-prospect in my eyes, I'd like to see Burgess in Iowa next year.

zeke devoss has been pretty disappointing. you'd think that a guy who played major college ball for 3 years and was drafted pretty high would be hitting better than .244 with an ops barely above .700. easterling has also been pretty lousy, but at least he looks good while not hitting.

DeVoss was actually only at Miami 2 years - he was drafted as a draft-eligible sophomore.

Easterling obviously has the football excuse but his nasty contact rate leads me to believe he will never amount to anything.

I agree that DeVoss just doesn't look like much. He reminds me of a worse Bobby Hill: a kid ready to rack up obscene walk rates on bad pitchers but no ability to hit good ones.

He also has no defensive home.

Game time temperature for the Boise game was 54 and it's now dropped into the 40s with wind chills in the 30s. Average temps this time of year in Spokane are around 80.

@BoiseHawksRadio: Hayden Simpson fans Rua to end 5th with 84 MPH fastball... @spokaneindians 2, .@BoiseHawks 1 (Top 6)

@BoiseHawksRadio: RT: @daddies4angels "84 MPH FB? sure that wasnt some type of breakingball" - no pitch has registered above 85...

Rua was a freshman at my HS when I was a senior. Really was hoping he'd be able to handle Simpson's 84 mph heater.

it's better this way, now if you can find his email address, you can tell him you would've been able to hit that guy and not feel like you're lying.

I better hit the batting cages.

Bijan Rademacher hit his first pro HR down in Arizona today.

DSL pitcher Daury Torrez Kd 6 with 1 BB in 6 IP, and he now has 26/2 BB/K in just over 27 IP. I'm not quite sure exactly what to look for in these DSL guys other than age, but with pitchers, I'll assume it's that type I thing.

Oh and Old Man Encarnacion went 2-4 with a granny.
