True. It should be noted that I was peeking over a scout's shoulder to see the radar readings. So I did not get every pitch. But my impression of Hayden is that control is the name of his game. When he looked good his pitches were in the right location and the hitters were off balance. When he gave up a hit he reared back and attempted to blow it by the hitters and he got in trouble.

Quakers, anything stand out on Candelario in game 2 or 3? Or did you hear scouts making any interesting observations?

4) Good defense by Boise. Amaya made a couple of real nice plays at second. I wonder what is going to happen when Bruno arrives?

 

 

Both guys can play multiple positions, so I imagine they will find time. Bruno can (along with 2nd) play short, has played 3rd, and could go to the OF, while Amaya can flip between 2nd and 3rd primarily, giving Candelario an occasional breather.

He continues to play good defense at third. He gets to everything, he has a strong accurate arm, and has demonstrated quick reflexes in catching a few screaming liners hit his way. He may outgrow the position at some point, but for now he looks good at third.

 

He hasn't done much offensively the last two games, but he is not overmatched at the plate.

Raisin is right. BTW, Marra looked good in his one game. All three singles were solid hits and he looked decent defensively.
