I fail to see the logic in promoting Raley from Peoria to Iowa. When did that happen?

It didn't. Raley was in Tennessee for over a year.

That was a typo on my part - he was at Tennessee and was bumped up to Iowa yesterday. I fixed my post.

Brett Jackson first AB: 3 pitch K

5 pitches this time. Progress?

This is getting ridiculous, I know he's always had decently high K rates in the minors but he's at an insane K rate right nwo. He almost has to be either hurt or working on changing/fixing something in his swing and/or approach.

Fun #'s: In 2011 at AAA, Rizzo had 26 HR in 93 games/356 AB. This year he has 16 in 44 games/168 AB.

He loves him some PCL.

Good to see the Vitters get a couple of hits, and good to see that one of them is a double. He really needs to get his line up, and also get rid of that Jeff Baker-esque LH/RH split of his.

There's some truth to this, but Iowa ain't no Tucson.

Sappelt with a nice current little 6-game stretch.

7-23, with a couple doubles and walks. .304/.360/.391. He continues to put the ball in play pretty well, now needs some luck and to get that little power stroke he showed early in the year back.

I was hoping he'd be the guy to get called up over Campana when we traded Byrd to get the majority of starts in CF. If/when we trade Soriano/Dejesus or one gets hurt hopefully he's the next guy in line to get called up and see some starts in the OF.

There has to be something physically wrong* with Jackson

*I don't necessarily mean injury, but his timing or something in his swing has to be way, way off.

Jackson put the ball in play again, grounding out to 2B. Hopefully something is clicking. He missed the first 4 pitches he swung at today (not including missing on a bunt attempt), but now has made contact with the last 2 he has swung at. Hey, I'm grasping at this point!
