Whatever happened to Justin Upton? Last I checked, he was tearing up the world. Now he's down to .240/.804. When I first looked, I thought that was B.J.'s line, but no, he's at .171/.577, making Starlin Castro look like a replacement level player. And then there's Jason Heyward who's a step above Castro at .215/.664.

 

Overall, aside from Freeman that offense has been brutal, yet they remain comfortably in 1st place. Must be doing it via pitching. But we have awful offense and have had great pitching. At least the guy who pitch the first 6-7 innings of the game. I guess that must be it.

Yeah it was a very odd response from Cashman. Apparently he said it's the organizations job to update the public/press on players rehabbing/etc. But Teixeria and Granderson both recently tweeted out stuff about their rehab stints. Tex said something about his stat line in a minor league game and Granderson tweeted something about getting a boot off his foot and Cashman didn't say anything. So yeah he just isn't a fan of A-Rod.
