Yeah, he's the only athlete from a team I don't support who I follow on Twitter (thanks to numerous re-tweets by Keith Law and Michael Schur).

Okay last link I'm stealing from Reddit, but this is worth watching...

They actually used the "Sabathia is so fat, every time he goes to the beach Greenpeace tries to roll him back in the water" joke.

When did the Padres become a decent baseball team? Last I knew they were battling us for a top 5 pick. Now they are 6 games under .500 and 7 games out of the Wild Card. Not that there is enough time for them to win a playoff spot or anything (it could happen with the way the top half of the the Wild Card is playing) but still.

According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Dodgers have agreed on a multi-year extension with GM Ned Colletti.

We learned Friday that manager Don Mattingly would be returning, but Colletti (who had a mutual option after this season) will also be retained. Financial details are not yet available, but multiple sources tell Heyman that the extension is a two- or three-year deal. With the additions of Hanley Ramirez, Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett and Carl Crawford, the Dodgers will have the one of the highest payrolls in baseball next year.

Awesome. They might have tons of money to spend but as a fan of a rival NL team, I'm glad Colletti is the one spending.
