What's Travis Wood up to these days?

 

Being mediocre in Iowa :(

 

Which is why they should have called him up instead of the guy who was downright brutal in Iowa.

 

Nobody's on the "Travis Wood > Randy Wells bandwagon bigger than I am. But in this case, Wood wouldn't have been lined up right in the rotation to take today's start. Our options were Wells and Coleman.

 

Yeah, it seemed pretty obvious why Wells was called up and Wood wasn't.

I think we want someone to just take Wells off our hands. I seriously doubt he'll be tendered by us next season anyway. My honest guess is we'll have to eat some cash to move him anyway. He's the personification of "just a guy".

Looking over the 5 starters throughout the league, we really should have shopped him more agressively during the offseason. Maybe we could have gotten something similar to the Gorzo return. Now if we're lucky we'll get something like the Kosuke return if someone's desperate enough.
