Randy Wells

0-0, -.-- ERA (1-0, 9.42 ERA in three Triple-A starts this year)

Career vs. Reds: 4-1, with a 3.88 ERA in 9 starts. 55.2 IP, 30 K and 15 BB.

On Saturday the Cubs ended their six game losing streak by defeating the Reds, 6-1. The Cubs will try to win the series by taking on Johnny Cueto who has had a strong start to 2012. Through his first three starts, he's given up runs off of two home runs and a triple. Going for the Cubs is recently called up Randy Wells making his 2012 debut. He's taking the spot of Ryan Dempster who was placed on the DL Saturday. Wells has been horrible for Iowa, so this has the makings to be a blowout for Cincinnati.

So is Bowden on the big league roster or will he be at AAA?

He has to stay on the big league roster since he's out of minor league options.

The CUBS have hit 5 HRs so far this season. For perspective........

The CUBS have 5 triples this year
The CUBS have 5 sacrifice flies this year
The CUBS have 5 HBP this year

The CUBS are on a pace to hit 54 HRs this year.

Since 1960, the lowest CUBS team HR total in a non strike shortened season is 72.

The CUBS have not hit a home run in their last 7 games.

The last time the CUBS played 7 games without a HR........

It was going to be a tough play, I just wish he could have kept the ball in front of him and limited it to a single instead of a double.

Yeah, he shouldn't have dived for it.

That was a strike and about 3/4 of a swing, ring him up blue.
