Sveum staying true to his word on getting everyone some early PT. Castro, Soriano, and Byrd are the only guys to start all 3 games, although Soriano may only have played 2 games worth if he gets pulled early again.

Cobbed already, eh? The Cubs started 0-2 in 2008, too.

I just really like calling them Cobs.

I'm going out on a limb and say this years team won't be quite as good.

I'm pretty excited about Shark's move to the rotation. He was very good for a large portion of last year and quietly put up some ridiculous numbers in ST. Last I saw, he was carrying a 20/1 k/bb ratio in Arizona.

I predict that if he keeps that up he'll win the Cy Young this year!

Padilla tweets that DeWitt has back spasms, so Barney will be taking his spot at 2nd.

I have to say that I kinda like the cut of Mr. Back Spasm's jib so far this year.

No really, Shark has the talent for this and it's took to be interesting to see how he takes. He's the most athletic SP talent they've had in forever, and post steroids baseball favors that. Plus besides for Garza he's the only one with any velocity on this staff....Really hope this works out.

Why are we treating DeWitt as a platoon player when he has reverse platoon splits, anyway?
