First game of the year is on 3/28. Please have your rosters legal by then!

Also, no trades or free agent signings until then, either.

I'll start waivers as soon as the draft completes.

you should be able to do that now.

Did we decide what to do with players currently listed ineligible for certain positions that are starting the season at those positions? i.e. Feliz as a starter or LaHair as a 1B

fyi, the stupid click and drag lineup change feature doesn't work for [expletive] on IE.

It works on the iPad. I think the problem with IE is IE7. IE8 upgrade should allow it to work. I had the same problem.

Found that out earlier. Try using Chrome.

IE 8 & 9 are the ones having the problem. Another issue is offering/accepting/declining trades. IE 7 works fine as does Firefox and Chrome.

I have IE 8. It's trying to make me downgrade to get it to work. I'll just use Firefox

So wait, no trades? Does that only apply to trading players?

The thread fizzled but it seems like we should just apply the eligibility rules we have. So after they've played enough games under the rules, they'll get eligibility.

But you can use Feliz as a RP to get his 1 start under the "anything to get to 7" rule, I think.

Today is 3/30.

I just did a quick check and found 3 illegal line-ups. But two of them can be easily fixed. One can take a RP off the bench and put him into the active line-up. He has an open slot. One has two extra players on the bench, but they are minor leaguers and he has more than enough room in the minors. But a third has a bench of 4 players and needs to drop someone.

I sent an e-mail to all three owners. They could have it fixed by the end of today.

I did not check on the validity of the injured reserves, nor whether those players in the minors are legally there.

Wait, you can't have a starter on the bench as long as you only have 19 players? If I have a SP that I don't want to score points for me, I'm leaving in on the bench. We have a "anything to get to 7" rule, so that has to be allowed.

KR has bailey on the bench because he didn't have him in his lineup by the deadline on 3/28, so he can't use him this week. i have no problem with this, obviously.

My understanding is yes, you can bench a starter in order not to exceed 7 starts. That would mean only 4 starters would be active. As far as having 9 starters and therefore permanently having 4 reserves... meaning you do not have a second RP, or...?? A commish will have to weigh in on that. But the team I saw had 20 active players, 16 regulars with a bench of 3 pitchers and 1 position player.

I didn't realize that this had been discussed. As long as everyone is cool with this, then so am I.

I also understand that this year you can pick up a FA to get your 7th start. But I am assuming that if you do so, then you would have to drop someone in order to keep your line-up legal.

Whatever you need to do to get 7 starts, yes, but the lineup needs to stay legal.

Except you still can' t use relief appearances by starters to get points.
