Bears selected Temple TE/FB Evan Rodriguez with the No. 111 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.

A versatile, 6-foot-2, 242-pound H-back type, Rodriguez was a two-time first-team All-MAC pick after transferring to Temple from West Virginia. A homeless man's Aaron Hernandez -- the two are built very similarly and look a lot alike -- Rodriguez ran 4.57 at the Combine and averaged 12.6 yards per reception in his college career. He also has extensive special teams experience.

[expletive] it. A 4th round OT wasn't going to fix this line anyway. I'm gonna try not to get too mad about this.

Good luck. It's horrifying what just happened, 4th round or not. The Cardinals must be laughing with glee.

Any time you can draft a homeless man's Aaron Hernandez, you gotta do it

Found this on a Giants blog

If given the reigns to a prospect like Rodriguez, he could develop him into a serious weapon for the Giants. Although listed as a tight end, Rodriguez can play all over the field. He was used primarily as an h-back at Temple, but played tight end, receiver, fullback, and h-back.

He showed off some good speed at the combine with a 4.58 time, but lacks ideal strength as an in-line blocker. He gives good effort and always seems to want to find the next guy to hit. Can reach for blocks at time and does not keep his pad level low.

He is a very natural pass catcher and moves well in open space. He is elusive but not a home run hitter from the tight end spot. Does not waste time running East and West and is good after the catch. Would look good catching passing out of the backfield for the Giants. Very versatile in that he can get good blocks from the full back spot and when lined up off the line of scrimmage. Could potentially split out in the slot and be an extra weapon in the red zone.

Though he is limited as a blocker and would need to bulk up in order to improve in that area, he could be a mismatch from the slot and h-back/fullback spot at the next level.

On the plus side, our special teams should just be phenomenal this year.

Always are and are a major reason why we typically outperform expectations. People love to overlook it.

Angelo left emery a strong contender. Emerys first move was great and made the team better. Now he has completely [expletive] the bed in the draft. Horrible effort. This is why Chicago teams need to stop hiring gym teachers to generally manage.

This was the fine print not talked about when they resigned him this year!

Why draft offensive lineman when you can draft a ton of tweeners and A [expletive] to protect your franchise qb

Ok, I gotta know what this expletive is. Racial slur?

It was the f word, "[expletive]"

Multiple people have been calling him a [expletive]? Just seems weird. Or is tight end being filtered?

EDIT: Nope, tight end isn't being filtered. Fullback?

Wow, FB is being filtered? what's up with that?

I'm gonna go for a run. I need to burn off steam. On the plus side, when I'm irritated by something I typically have a better time running.

OK, Mr. Emery. Welcome to Chicago. These gambles better pay off.

Even sky net knows the fb position is worthless. And don't let anybody tell you this guy is a tight end. They might try to make him one. But he's a [expletive] fullback, and one that shouldn't have been drafted until the 7th round at that.

But I keep forgetting the 7th is for starting left tackles.
