Noah just needs to bring this energy every night and he'll be fine.

Yeah, he's looked much better tonight (the missed bunnies aside).

I don't think it's that surprising that he has struggled during a schedule of this type considering he is a big time effort player though I would have expected him to slow down closer to the end of the year as opposed to struggling to start the year.

I understand SSR trolling the game thread with his miserable excuse for a favorite team, but don't get why imb! is riding SSR's jock on this one.

imb's just trying to find someone to take his mind off Russell Westbrook for a while.

And I'm sure Durant appreciates those five touches a game Westbrook gives him.

last year westbrook to durant totaled the highest number of assists in the league. that's two strikes.

Yes, last year. This year Westbrook's assists are down almost 3 per game, and they've only gotten lower the last five games, during which point Westbrook almost had two good shooting games in a row! Because it's not like there's another player (or two) on the team that would benefit from a few extra passes per game, right?

I mean, if the discussion's going to be a moving target that's going to roll back to last year, it's just going to get silly for you.

So now we've moved onto a semantic argument about what "good" is? ORtg streak of 107, 127, 98, 113, 105, while hardly bad, was really only two of 5 games better than team performance (to where his offense was more of a benefit to the team's efficiency than a detriment). His shooting was certainly decent in those back to backs against a tough defensive team in Houston, but are you really sitting there thinking that Westbrook is helping the team more than he's hurt it in the early going this season?

And if you're going to continue davearm'ing this discussion, just let me know now so I can stop wasting time.

Yeah, the basket is to his back and he ends up scoring on this.

is that a serious question? the only other pg on the roster is rookie reggie jackson, of course westbrook is helping more than he's hurting. would you rather have derrick rose or john lucas

And what does Westbrook's better than average start have to do with my criticism of Derrick rose and his overrated status? I do plenty of Westbrook criticizing when appropriate.

If you haven't poorly attempted to shift your baseless, inaccurate "point" in the next 10 minutes, I'll probably go to sleep.

but Rose is never overrated

I agree attacking Westbrook was pointless... But the original point remains that it's annoying to come into a game thread you have no rooting interest in just to rile us up (I know it's your shtick). It's like a Rays fun coming into a cubs/brewers game thread here to talk crap on Starlin Castro... It wouldn't go over well.
