lol, this is hilarious. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, Zook.

C'mon, he made you guys bowl eligible. I think if it's best if he sticks around to continue what he is building.

I honestly think it's better to let him get a little stoned before every game. The kid obviously loves his weed and he seems to get a little tense sometimes.

Too bad Wisconsin can't play every game at home

It's weird that a lot of teams play so different on the road then at home. It's the same players, a 100 yard field and all plays and what not should be the same. I get that the fans are against you and you're in an unfamiliar city but it's still football and it doesn't seem like things like that should make that big of a difference.

I'm just hoping UCLA doesn't lose by a combined 100+ tonight and Friday in Eugene.

I want UCLA to lose today and then win the Pac-12 so they go to the Rose Bowl as a 7-6 team that finish 4th (I think that's right) in the conference record wise.

Is their any doubt that if there isn't an extra Big Ten bowl spot available, Illinois is the odd man out among the 6-6 teams (Ohio St., Northwestern, Purdue and Illinois)?

Will that be a problem with two BCS teams?

I think Illinois would be in before Northwestern and maybe Purdue.

I don't know about that. How many Illini fans do you think are going to be excited enough to travel down to somewhere like El Paso to see a team with a lame duck coach and a 6 game losing streak? I don't think the bowl selection committees will want to pick a team like that. Northwestern has its own issues drawing fans, but at least their fans have some excitement for their team and will tune in to see NW break a 60 year bowl drought.

Seems to be what the Big Ten blog's writer thinks too:

The Illini are bowl eligible, but what game would want them at this point? Bowls like teams with momentum, and they've got all the wrong momentum with a six-game losing streak. Add in all-but-certain lame-duck coach, and there's little reason for Illinois fans to get excited about traveling to watch this team play again, especially during basketball season.
