Wonder how tight he is with the union?

With Sabathia not involved with the free market and Wilson being the top prize, how much will something like that impact the highest bidder award?

Tsss...Tss....Well if he's leavin' then he's probably looking to secede or sumthin. Tsss.

Does Bobby V even have aspirations to leave his cushy TV job for the stress of managing again?

Valentine seems pretty outspoken. I'd rather have a first-time manager who will buy into Hoyer and Epstein's philosophy and do what he's told. Preferably someone from a sucessful organization.

I don't know what Bobby V's managing philosophy is, or what stats he values, but I'm sure he wouldn't be hired if his past actions don't fit into the organizational philosophy Theo and Hoyer put in place.

What are the thoughts on Mackanin? Would could have the best hair in baseball with him, Theo, and Jed.

That's the Phillies bench coach right? I thought of putting him down, but thought against it. He's probably a good candidate, but where our roster is at vs. where there's is at is so drastically different that I don't see the fit.

I posted a Top 10 in the other thread so i'll cut it down to a Top 5 now.

Alomar Jr.

Maddux

I had Wedge on the list before but who knows if we would even be granted an interview.

Explain this weird-ass "tss" thing.

If you can't stand me now prepare to be walloped...

Yes, a radio character from the mind of an above average but not HOF or anything comedian. To me it's hilarious in the sense that it might have driven me to madness.

Top 5 names to me:

Willie Randolph

Okay... you're the only person I've ever seen on these forums, or in the world for that matter, as I've yet to see any media speculation, who wants Willie Randolph.

So I'll bite... aside from the basic reason you gave in the post I'm quoting, why the hell do you want Willie Randolph managing this team? Cause when I look at his 4 year managerial career, all I see is a guy who managed a team with a GM who gave him players like Mike Piazza, Carlos Delgado, Jose Reyes, David Wright, Carlos Beltran, Pedro Martinez, Tom Glavine, Billy Wagner, and Johan Santana...

And he won nothing.

I have no idea how this explained anything.

Though this is eerily reminiscent of Cynosure just before his meltdown.

I realize that's all that most know about Randolph's coaching career, and really it's all anyone should be expected to know (if anything at all). That said:

- Best coach on the Torre coaching staff in NY, along with Mel Stottlemyre. Really a standout on that staff too, if you were a fan of the 90's Yankees.

- Impeccable coaching reputation beyond the Mets incident. Impeccable, I say. Rick Peterson looked bad at his job during the Mets incident, and Peterson was once considered the best pitching coach in the game. That franchise is stupid (was stupid), and I chalk it up to stuff happens. It wasn't all piss anyway...

- Has won the WS as a coach and a player.

- Has worked in big markets his whole coaching life, and arguably the most extreme one at that. With the media it'd (hopefully) be a been there done that situation.

- Has managerial experience, and has gone through failure.

- Probably aware of the numbers game and matchups since he's not an idiot.

There's plenty of reason really...It's not like past success as a manager should be a major requirement, and it's not like he had *none* either. It just wasn't a WS winner.

Oh, so just trolling for a meltdown. G'luck. The explanation is there in the video. Tss is just the noise that precedes the hit joke.

Go for the quinella and grab Girardi.

Would love to see the reaction of fans in New York to TR's "negotiating" tactics.
