It was 4th and 5 from the 32 too. It wasn't like it was 4th and a mile. That's just playing not to lose the game. Overly conservative.

Hell, even if it's 4th and goal from the 32 and the wind is howling 50 MPH into your face, you still don't punt it.

The even more frustrating thing is that this is a winnable game if Zook isn't an idiot. It's not the kind of game that is winnable when you waste chances.

There was a decent shot that Ohio State wouldn't be bowl eligible if they lost this one but since they play Purdue and Indiana still it's looking like they will finish at worst, 6-6.

 

Also, nobody will score when Penn State and Ohio State play.

I really like the job that Dantonio has done with the MSU program. If there was one thing that I find disappointing with him is that he still has issues with discipline. That being said, compared to the John L Smith years, this group is like a church choir.
