Well losing is not the end of the world, but it certainly gives Phoenix all the momentum. We've already proven we could win in their place, so as long as we win on Thursday we have a chance.

I will now spend the day tomorrow tired as hell at work. For this [expletive] [expletive]. I love sports :)

7 goals in the first 3 games, and 2 of them with the goalie pulled in desperation.

Not going to win if we fail at the one thing we are supposed to do well, score

Posted

wow what a terrible goal. even michael leighton thinks that's a bad goal.

torres might as well go back to the team hotel, pack up and head home to phoenix... no way he should play again in this series.

Posted

Well it seems like the team that has an illegal hit against them ends up losing the game as well in both cases.

[expletive] unfair...now watch Torres get 1 game or just a fine

Sharp sort of disappeared for most of the night again. Mentioned Bolland. And Kane needs to cut down all the [expletive] stick handling.

nobody even tried to fight. nobody did anything. this team is soft as hell. how do you let that go unanswered?

i mean, you don't even have to take a meatball penalty or anything. but holy [expletive], show some balls. if that hit happened in the pens/flyers series, somebody would have been murdered the next shift.

phoenix probably doesn't even respect them. torres does that and the hawks just let it go?

Shanahan will probably use the fact that Hossa drove himself home to say he's not injured and let him off with a fine.

He'll probably not even be punished.

Seriously, how did he think he was going to have more time in the middle of the ice. Shoot the [expletive] puck.

Seriously, after Shanahan's idiocy to this point, how shocked would you really be if Torres gets one game?

torres likely knocks hossa out for the season with an illegal hit...

toews retaliates with a face wash.

good job boys. way to let them make you their bitches.

i'm so glad that we've fallen so far from being relevant to the cup that we're saying things like "we have a chance" when we're playing a mediocre team in the first round of the playoffs.

The thing that pisses me off is that every time we tried to fight, we were the only ones that got a penalty. Bollig's penalty after Torres hit and then the scrum at the end of the 2nd where Toews got 2 minutes. It's insane, I'm not saying we should get calls because we're the home team but we certainly shouldnt be hosed like that.

There are penalties that are not called every game for both sides, but this one certainly seemed to have a lot of calls missed favoring Phoenix.

Just a terrible day all around for the Hawks. Shaw gets screwed because Shanahan wanted to make up for botching the Weber discipline, Hossa is nearly paralyzed with an intentional illegal hit by a scumbag and carried out in a stretcher, Hawks lose in OT on a goal that should not be allowed.

it sucks but what can you do except readjust your expectations. Whatever the Hawks had 2 years ago, its went away along with Ladd, Buff, Niemi, Sopel, etc. We're now a decent middle to low seed playoff team with the ability to win a series, maybe 2 at best. We have to just accept that the core we have has regressed to a certain degree, and the moves Bowman has made so far have been the wrong ones.
