Tazer did everything on that play. He is so really good at the sport of hockey.

Thank God, with the Bulls having 3 days off I'm glad I have something enormous to look forward to on Monday.

Prediction for Monday: 5-3 Hawks....like I said before the game, the Hawks just can't lose all 3 home games in this series. The Hawks will feel like they have momentum, the Coyotes will keep being reminded of how they've never won a series in Phoenix and start to feel the weight on their shoulders.

We still have that break out offensive game coming. Monday would be fine.

I really hope I can watch that game. Will be banished to Terre Haute for work. I don't suppose they get CSNC there...

Just like I said before the game.....Thursday Cubs, Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks all lose. Saturday Cubs (a miracle like any Cubs win), Sox (with a perfect game), Bulls (Rose is back and beat defending champs), and Hawks (Tazer) all win.

Also, [expletive] the White Sox but it fits the pattern.

is there anybody in the nhl you'd trade toews for straight up? the only guy i can think of is crosby, if he proves his head isn't broken

I still wouldnt....he's a little bitch.

OK I probably would really consider it.

See there might be players you could argue are better or have more value (like Giroux, Stamkos, Malkin, Crosby), but even if I were to agree, the difference in talent is not much and not enough to overcome the emotional attachment that Toews has built in Chicago.

It's like LeBron is better than Rose, but most Bulls fans wouldnt trade Rose for LeBron. But the gap between Rose and LeBron is even bigger IMO than Toews and someone like Stamkos

malkin's pretty good, too

the only 2 i think i'd really do would be crosby and maybe stamkos. malkin is a couple years older than toews so i think i'd take the overall game/leadership of toews.

giroux would have to prove himself for another year or 2. i can't imagine giving up toews for him right now. toews just does too much.

he's just the perfect combination of player and leader. he has no flaws in his game. he's young, he's already won almost everything, and guys just follow him because he always backs it up in the big moments. all that cliche stuff like leadership/grit etc etc actually matters in hockey. i'm not saying he's necessarily better than all those guys, but would i trade him for them? i couldn't do it. he's just too perfect.

And this is why fans aren't GMs. There isn't a GM in the world that wouldn't trade Rose for LeBron...

i don't know, having a guy that scores goals like stamkos would be pretty sweet

lebron has to not malfunction and burn down the ghetto once. not that rose is adept at it.

but i DO know it's the cool thing to be loving on lebron and hating on rose, rather than see lebron as a heartless and soulless golem, misinterpreting commands his rabbi has given him.

Toews is a very effective player even if he is not scoring. I am not sure the same could be said for Stamkos or Malkin. I think Crosby has developed into a very good two way player who I would probably take over Toews. I cannot think of any other forward who should even be in the discussion. If I had a glut of forwards and was shy on some dmen I may trade Toews for a couple of dmen around the league, but that would be a really short list also.
