Why do you say that? It's not inconceivable that there are 6-7 teams bunched up like happened last year. I hope the Hawks are solidly in of course, and I think they are capable of it, but the Preds are solid enough to not discount.

just one of the many reasons toews is an elite player despite his seemingly underwhelming point totals.

 

and i agree with whoever said kane is on another level this year. even when it's not leading to goals, he's doing amazing things out there. every time he gets the puck in the offensive zone i feel like we're about to have a good scoring chance. so so fun to watch right now.

 

i remember when i was so jealous of pittsburgh having malkin and crosby. now we have a better pair for ourselves.

I'm happy that Q decided to replace Kane with Sharp at center midway through the 2nd. Kane was seemingly losing every draw he took last night. That whole thing with him as a center was cute, but he's not a center. Hopefully we won't have to see that again anytime soon.

 

How bad is Keith hurt? None of us noticed anything out of the ordinary to him, but we quickly saw that Hjalmarsson was double shifting and Keith was nowhere to be seen for the final 25-30 minutes or so.

You could see the shot hit his left hand, looked like the fingers. He started shaking his left hand almost immediately. Of course there is padding on the back of those gloves, but it's not that much. Just an uneducated opinion, but I think the fact that he is traveling with the team and being designated "day-to-day" suggests nothing is broken.

 

That really was a great effort last night against a stubborn team that always seems to play us tough. Will be fun to see Versteeg and Campbell this week, though it seems like eons ago that Versteeg was on this team.
