Yeah, despite Reed's struggles, I always am intrigued whenever he starts. Ditto Ackerman.

Travis Garcia retired.

 

I guess our mean comments about him being likely organizational filler got to him.

 

i don't really get why a guy would get drafted, play decent baseball for a month and the retire. i guess maybe he just decided he wasn't going to make it in baseball or didn't like the minor league lifestyle, and decided to get his career started sooner rather than later.

Why did they PH for Szczur?

 

i dunno... this happened in the half inning before he was PH for, maybe he got hurt on one of these plays?

 

Pedro Zapata singles on a ground ball to center fielder Matthew Szczur. Cesar Puello scores. Travis Ozga out at home on the throw, center fielder Matthew Szczur to catcher Chad Noble. Rylan Sandoval to 2nd.
