According to the box score, BJackson:

- got a hit in the first inning

- Stole second

- got picked off second

- left the game

No idea why he left, but one would have to suspect some sort of injury on the pickoff.

Hopefully he got booted again for argueing with the ump. Hopefully.

On the brighter side. Jae-Hoon Ha walked. His 6th of the year. He walked a total of 10 times last year. His IsoD is still pretty crappy at .032, but it's an improvement over last year's even more horrible .017.

Options are:

a) thrown out for arguing

b) injured

c) removed by the coach after a boneheaded play

My guess, A

Brett Jackson wasn't ejected.

It was a hand injury that happened on the pickoff. I'm not sure how serious it is.

Wow, what a retched outing for Blake Parker - 2 IP, 6 H, 7 ER, 2 BB, 0 K. Flaherty did hit HR #8

Poor outings for Nick Struck starting for Daytona and Dae-Eun Rhee out of the pen. Matt Cerda has a 21 BB-22 K ratio in 113 AB for Daytona.

Iowa was rained out.

It's probably still a bit early in the year for any major moves, but I hope Matt Spencer gets a chance to go up to Iowa this summer. He really didn't have a bad 2010 campaign at AA last year.

Will be curious to see if Clevenger gets the bump to Iowa. Probably will come down to how long Soto is out for. If he's out an extended period, it would seem like the sensible choice to make (to slide Clevenger up).

Runner at 2nd base and no outs... Angel batter lays a bunt down the third base line... Cubs let the ball roll, hoping it will go foul... It does not... Cubs just stand around marveling at their bad luck as the Angel hitter takes second base (nobody covering) and runner who was on second base scores (nobody covering home, either).

Love the attendance......5

Don't get all negative yet. It's not like he was gonna go see Dr. Nick at Hollywood Upstairs Medical College.

With a finger, whats the worst that it could be? I know those little bones can take a while to heal, but better than than a shoulder or wrist.

Would Ha be the next in line to take his spot in AA if necessary, or would they just go with boring old James Adduci?

Hand and wrist injuries for hitters scare me almost as much as shoulder injuries for pitchers. For example, Choi was just never the same after hurting his.

From Bruce Miles' twitter...at least its the pinkie

#Cubs say OF prospect Brett Jackson's injury is to ligament of left pinkie. He'll see hand specialist today. Apparently, no broken bone.

I once saw Dr. Nick for a burning sensation during urination. His prescribed treatment was a colonoscopy. It Worked, I stopped thinking about the burning sensation.
