Dempster really sucks this year. I hope he's not hiding an injury.

 

Really? I hope it's an injury because that would at least explain why he sucks so bad. If it's not an injury that's a lot more troubling.

TOP OF THE SIXTH INNING

 

Barajas homered to left field

Carroll flied out to right field

Gwynn, pinch hitting for MacDougal, tripled to left field

Miles grounded out to short, 6-3 , Gwynn holding third

Blake walked

Marshall in (9th) to pitch for the CUBS

Ethier doubled to right field, Gwynn & Blake scored

Kemp struck out swinging

I would say if Wells and Cashner weren't already on the DL, Quade should consider skipping Dempster for a start or something. He's been turrible.

According to CBS Sportsline, Shark is warming up. Please tell me he is not considering pulling Marshal to have Shark pitch the 7th.

When you consider 3 of his 5 starts have come against the Pirates, Diamondbacks and Astros. Yikes
