WE INVENTED FLIGHT WHAT DID YOUR CITY EVER DO

People from Dayton inventing flying machines to get the hell out of Dayton, what a shocker.

I gotta say... I liked Dayton. Maybe because I spent most of my time in Fairborn, Beavercreek, and Kettering?

I thought a lot of it seemed really nice

You should have said Dave Chappelle lives there.

Dayton has Guided by Voices, so it's clearly better than Cincinnati.

Cincinnati has The National

But Akron has The Black Keys, so every other town can suck it

That's a bummer. I thought they were from Bloodbuzz.

invention of flight canceled out by the ignominy of the dayton swim club

Was hoping for a Dayton Swim Club reference. I am not disappoint.

They're really from Cleveland Heights.

Akron has Lebron James though! :D

You didn't have to say that.

You said it.

But you didn't have to.

Man, I wish the Reds weren't in our division and Dusty Baker wasn't their manager. Because I love how they always publicly call out the Cardinals for the whiners they are.

larussa, carpenter and brennaman, it's a menage a douche.

and yeah, the cards all barking at cordero for hitting pujols with an 0-2 count when putting him on brought the tying run to the plate is just embarrassing for the cards. not that larussa, duncan and co. haven't already thoroughly embarrassed themselves by whining throughout larussa's career.

by the way, the reds should really consider hiring better announcers since nobody goes to their games. last week they had an attendance of less than 40,000 for three games against the astros, and they've drawn fewer than 35,000 in two games against the cubs. this is a team that's good and built to win now, where is everybody?

If having one of the best offenses in baseball isn't bringing people in, I can't imagine the announce team making much of a difference.

The day before they were going on about how the strike zone for Bailey was a postage stamp, but Zambrano was getting the benefit of a huge zone.

Yeah, always whining. Like that time La Russa complained he didn't know a huge storm was going to hit St. Louis so he started his pitcher, then...wait, no. That's not right. That was Dusty Baker.

Or that time La Russa complained about the way he was treated by the A's four years after he was...wait, I guess that was Dusty Baker again.

OH I KNOW! John Smoltz and Chris Carpenter complained about some slick baseballs during a series in Cincinnati in 2009. It was such a problem for Carpenter that they won his start, 13-0.

And yeah, Carpenter is always making excuses for losing against the Reds, since it's happened all of four times in his career.

he sure showed you, rocket, the dusty apologist you are!

I never said he was being a Dusty apologist. He linked to an article about Brennaman's comments on Cardinals management being whiners, and I pointed out how idiotic they are considering who's managing the Reds.
