Raley with 4k and 0bb through 2ip so far.

of course, the opposing pitcher has a perfect game going through 2.

Graham Hicks with a good outing through 6. He's allowed 4 hits, no walks with 4 Ks and no runs. Welcome to the organization!

more normal outing for whitenack, with tons of ground balls and way less (actually 0 through 4 IP) strikeouts.

Yep, and I'll take it. So far 1 unearned run on two hits and 1 BB through 4. Keep it up, Robert.

according to the box score, whitenack's final line was 6 ip, 3 h, 1 r, 0 er, 1 bb, 3 k, 1 hbp, 12 GO/2 FO

Nice. Especially the GO/FO.

Three starts on the year now, he's got 17 IP, 9 H, 2 ER, 18/1 K/BB. He's 2-0 with a 1.06 ERA and a sick 4.33 GO/FO. If he can keep that up for another month or so, he'll see AA pretty fast.

I like that Ha had another 2B. That's 5 on the year in just 43 ABs. Still no walks, though.

Silva starting to chalk up more K's.

With Whitenack's great start, he's going to attract attention and scouting info is going to come out more and more.

Obviously he's got an effective fastball, with plus-plus location (low BB, low hits) and movement (GO/AO, low hits). I wonder how his fastball velocity sits? Is that good too, or just average, or somewhat below? Obviously when a guy is throwing sinkers, you don't expect the same velocity as 4-seam power up-the-ladder guys.

I guess I'm just kind of wondering whether he actually throws what he throws pretty hard, or whether it's all finesse/movement.
