is it trolling when people tell erik to calm down in the game threads? Nope. We're just awash in a sea of erik's here. You guys should be thanking us for showing you the light before you're too far down the rabbit hole.

Anyways, while still on edge as I have been all series, Bulls still have a great shot in this series. Need to come away Tuesday tying it up though.

We need a SG baaaad. Brewer and Bogans have done a great job on Wade (although as soon as Bogans yapped, Wade got going and the momentum turned) but they just can't give you enough on offense against a good D like Miami.

 

Miami's done a good job of limiting the damage on the offensive glass and Thibs need to counter punch. Hopefully the short turn around helps us regain the edge.

yeah, I already got this pretty much out of my head. It's hard to get too worked up when the team has already surpassed expectations, and is still very much alive in a series with a team that in all honesty should be considered a failure if they don't win the next 7 NBA Finals.

That is the biggest factor, yes.

I did a quick skim back (and I'll emphasize quick because I buzzed and lazy), and while there was much complaining about refs, the only person to claim it was a deciding factor was

 

SSR (obviously in a joking matter)

 

If you think particular posters are silly for claiming the refs were deciding the game, thats one thing, but it seems that conclusion has been jumped to just because fans complain about calls.

in all seriousness though, it's so tough to look at a satisfied bosh, lebron and wade. but especially bosh

 

that's why even you should be rooting for okc to lose. the mavs are the only ones with a chance of stopping those guys from winning a title.

I didn't really have a problem with the way the game was officiated when the Heat were on offense, the problem was that the standard for a foul didn't cut both ways. On one particular play, Noah forced Bosh into the air, jumped into him while taking a shot (which the Heat did a handful of times) and didn't get the same call Miami was getting.

 

Bottom line though, the Bulls lost mostly because Noah was practically invisible, Boozer was his usual hideous self on defense (although he had a pretty nice game offensively) and Rose played like an idiot most of the second half. It sucks for him that so much is on his shoulders, but when he plays like he has a ton on his shoulders, he's awful.

The officials were mostly fine. I actually thought in terms of "blatently wrong calls", it was even, as there were a few plays that definitely went in favor of the Bulls and shouldn't have. In terms of borderline calls, I think the Heat got a good deal more of those calls, but what do you expect on the road against a team with 2 of the premier superstars in the league? It's something you have to accept if you are a fan of the NBA. And it really wasn't that bad tonight....the Heat used a lot more pump fakes and were able to get their guards in the paint a lot more than the Bulls. When you let LeBron get the ball in the paint, 75% of the time its going to be a shooting foul or a high percentage shot attempt. So yeah, in no way did it cost us the game.
