Why were the Bulls guarding that last shot?

At the end of the day, the Bulls have Rose and the Pacers don't. That's the only difference between the teams but it's a massive one. And at the end of these games, you have to have a player who can break down the defense like that. Rose has done it all 3 games which is why the Bulls are up 3-0. And I wouldn't worry about what this might mean for successive rounds-the Bulls can win series coming up playing just like this. I thought they played really well tonight.

One more game of thug ball left

People are going to foul Derrick Rose hard. He's so strong he'll get and 1's otherwise.

And considering the Bulls seem to be on a mission to have Hansbrough's vertigo return, the Bulls haven't exactly been innocent either. The Bulls have 2-3 very physical players themselves.

Bulls shoot 38%, get outrebounded, lose the turnover battle, Rose shoots 4-18, Boozer 2-10, equalled fouls.

How in the world did they win?

Pretty sure Foster is going to miss the next game for that elbow to Deng's head.

I'd hope so but who knows with the league?

Close these guys out on Saturday so we can get some much needed rest.

This was the night for the Bulls to have the extreme 3 point shooting advantage that the Pacers had in game 1. Bogans going 3-3 especially hurt.

And the fouls were equal but the Pacers committed more shooting fouls so the Bulls had a 9 free throw advantage.

It's weird to think that the Pacers could be the team up 3-0. There is yet to be a game where I thought we played better. I wonder if being down 3-0 kills the Pacers spirit, I'm sure it won't because I'm sure they really want a playoff win.

I don't think so. The Bulls have a better bench, a better coach, and two other players in Deng and Boozer that are slightly better than Indiana's second and third scorers.

Indiana is just a bad matchup for the Bulls. This is the playoffs where you rarely blow out teams unless you are the 90s Bulls.

LOL @ Pacers coach (who even knows his name?) press conference. Said it should be at least 2-1. "Or 2-1 us, or 3-0 us."

Yeah. I remember I used to think that way as a kid when the Pistons kept beating the Bulls. Or in 1986 when MJ lit up the Celtics.

But there's a big difference between playing a team close and actually winning.

I would say it's really hard to compare benches. Indiana's is asked to do a lot more than Chicago's. Chicago has 2 of its top 3 scorers on the floor for a really large number of minutes so they really just ask their bench to fill roles around those players. Indiana is much more conservative with the minutes so their bench has to pick up a lot more of the slack. Is Chicago's more talented and given the opportunity would be better than the Pacers? I don't know.

Survive and advance. Its not pretty but im not putting too much into the not 'steam rolling' the pacers. The only team im worried about on the road to the championship is the heat.

They have to get by Atlanta first.

the bulls have played some of their worst basketball of the seaosn in this series, and they still haven't been able to win a single game.

bulls have basically given them the gift of playing terribly and they still can't beat us. scrub team.

Well, yeah, but now it's a best of 5 series in which Atlanta has home court advantage. Anything could happen.

Especially considering Atlanta probably wins game 2 if Larry Drew isn't a complete idiot about his good players in the first half.
