I am up against NSBB this week. Always a tough match.

I should have been top scorer. If I had any other 3b than Ian Stewart, including several bench guys, I probably would have. I got -2.75 points from Stewart this week. It would have been an improvement if I went with Brooks Robinson at 3b. Now that's saying something.

find it interesting that the West has the top 3 folks in points. Just happy to get a win - last year was my rebuilding year after inheriting a mess, so would like to think this year would be better.

 

Oh, and would like to think that, if Jeremy Guthrie would have avoided pneumonia, I could have taken the other 2 :P

I'm thrilled my team pulled it off last week. I didn't do a good job with my pitching staff and my Red Sox sucked.

I only won because I brilliantly managed my 13 starts in week 1. All bad starts were on the bench where they belonged. I ended up with an ERA below 2.00 for the week while also getting less than 10 points from the infield corners. Ugh.

 

Hey, look! I have negative points at 3b for today. This is absolutely fantastic! I now have -3 points from 3b for the year. :good:

Reason I'm asking is because I don't have an open spot on my bench so I don't want to pick up the new player until I can replace the starter.

you cannot make midweek lineup changes unless there is an injury. you cannot put the new guy in your starting lineup unless he is replacing someone that is hurt.

Furcal is dropped so that Mauer has room on the DL

Avila is inserted as starting catcher

I have a 25-point lead, but I'm facing starts by Hamels and King Felix and my only remaining start is Duensing. Could go either way.

I eke out the win this week, but I can't be happy with my team at all at this point. I can't remember any time in the league where my pitching was third from the bottom. Some of that is Latos + Greinke being hurt, but some of it is also Volquez being shaky (at best), buying into Bedard's spring training performance and so forth.

 

My offense also could really use Morneau to be his old self.

So the west has one team at 2-0 and one team at 0-2, with everyone else at 1-1. I have the fewest points and I'm at 2-0. Juan has the most points and is at 0-2.

 

I don't expect these trends to hold.

Good to see last year's tradition continued where everyone has their best week against my team.

 

Didn't really deserve a win this week anyway with only scoring 253 points, but a cheap win would have been nice.

 

I'm second in the league in points scored, and 2nd in the league in points scored against. Juan has me beat in both categories and he's now 0-2. Yikes. I guess I'll shut up now.
