I read that Polin Trinidad was released earlier this week. Was he re-signed?

It's likely I'm wrong. I was basing my info on the I-Cubs' Twitter account as, at the time, Iowa hadn't officially announced who was replacing Casey Coleman. Trindiad wasn't on Iowa's roster this morning.

RH Austin Bibens-Dirkx will move up in the rotation and start tonight instead of Monday at Albuquerque. Chicago did call up reliever Jeff Stevens today after placing Randy Wells and Andrew Cashner on the disabled list. LH Polin Trinidad joins Iowa today from double-A Tennessee and will be available out of the bullpen.

Vitters starting at 1B in Tennessee with LeMahieu at 3B.

Burgess with another HR.

Jeff Antigua started the suspended Peoria game and promptly got hammered.

Szczur must be injured, got replaced in the 9th inning of the suspended, and didn't play in game 2.

Hatley K's the side in his single inning. Cales a nice 2-inning perfection.

Carpenter set up to lose his first pro relief outing, but Iowa rallied to win it.

Little LePage with another walk, plus a couple more hits.

I'm not really counting Iowa, since they don't have prospects. But otherwise, all six rotation starters have done well: Dolis-Struck-Kirk-Simpson-Whitenack-Rusing. Good to see.

A very nice night indeed.

Man it's fun to have the games to check every night again.

I know. I didn't know how much I missed it until I wandered into the minor league forum yesterday and saw the box scores. It's extra nice to have decent results to talk about as well...

two former cubs started in AA against each other tonight: jake peavy and chris archer. (wait jake peavy wasn't a cub?)

anyway, archer was mediocre: 4 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 3K.

Archer got off to a pretty rough start last year before taking over.

Enough people go 2/5?

Just as remarkable is the low number of 0'fers (not counting the continued Peoria game). I assume being the second game of the year, we faced pretty decent pitching.

Just batting average, but a strong day up the middle. Not so much at the corners.
